Funded through the disc golf permit, this all new, pay-to-play course features 18 holes. The first two offer a changing elevation and window shot obstacles, and the third requires skirting the pond for a dry shot. The course continues through the grassland with blind spots, window shots and an elevated basket shot. The back-nine offer a difficult play skirting a second pond with tight barriers, an alley shot that will leave the experienced player chopping wood. The last three test players in length with the final at 525’ and a par five.
Complementing the opening and closing of the existing disc golf courses at Elver and Hiestand Parks, the course at Yahara Hills is anticipated to remain open until the spring thaw, allowing for year-round disc golf play. Elver and Hiestand courses will be closed for the season on November 29. More information can be found by emailing the general parks information or calling (608) 266-4711.
