Olbrich Botanical Gardens enriches life by nourishing and sharing the beauty of gardens, the joy of gardening, the knowledge of plants, and the diversity of our world. Olbrich Botanical Gardens is dedicated to the creation, conservation and interpretation of gardens and plant collections hardy to the American Midwest or native to the world’s tropical forests for study, enjoyment and public benefit.
Stroll through 16 acres of outdoor display gardens and an indoor, tropical conservatory at Olbrich Botanical Gardens. In the outdoor gardens, visit the Thai Pavilion and Garden. Olbrich’s Thai Pavilion is the only one in the continental United States and the only one outside of Thailand surrounded by a garden. Stop and smell the roses in the Rose Garden, opened to the public in 2005. Olbrich’s rose garden features innovative mixed borders of Midwest hardy shrub roses and perennials. Also stroll through other specialty gardens such as the Perennial Garden, Sunken Garden, and Herb Garden. Olbrich’s outdoor gardens are open daily, year-round.
Classes, lectures, and workshops are offered on a wide variety of garden, ecology, and nature related themes through Olbrich’s education department. Public programs are offered at Olbrich for all ages and currently serve more than 4,000 participants each year, from toddlers to seasoned gardeners.
Whether planning a wedding, retirement party, birthday party, or a gathering for any occasion, let Olbrich Botanical Gardens be the backdrop. Olbrich has three rooms inside the botanical center that are available for rental year-round, each of which overlooks the stunning scenery of the Outdoor Gardens.
