Monona Fall Festival & Chili Cookoff Oct. 6-8

The Monona Fall Festival is a large family-oriented event featuring the Chili Cookoff Competition, Hoot Hoot Hustle 5K/1 mile run/walk, Monona Pie Party, the arts & crafts show by the Madison Monona Lioness group, live music, hay wagon rides, Friends of Monona Library Book Sale, hay bale maze at beautiful Winnequah Park located at 5301 Healy Lane in Monona.

The event runs from Friday, October 6 (live music with Whiskey Farm in the evening) through Sunday, October 8 and is free and open to all. For more information, contact the Monona Parks & Recreation Department at 222-4167.

Kick off the Monona Fall Festival by grabbing a taste of the best food carts Monona has to offer. Listen to live music with The Whiskey Farm, taste something you’ve never tried before, and enjoy a selection of craft beer.

35th Annual Chili Festival and Cook-Off – cook’s needed!
Join your friends and family for this tasty event, sponsored by the Monona Grove Business Men’s Association. Sample a huge variety of chili, listen to live music, and enjoy activities and games for the whole family. A full concession stand with chili, brats, beer and soda will be available. To learn more about the event or to sign up to participate in the contest, visit the MGBMA’s website or like them on Facebook. MGBMA supports scholarships for high school students, support of local not for profits, the veteran’s memorial and multiple other local initiatives. Sponsors are needed for the chili cookoff.
