“Being involved in sport has many positive attributes. We’ve long known that youth who regularly participate in sports have the upper hand in learning how to work collaboratively and developing leadership skills. By having a funding mechanism that supports youth programs, we work towards a consistent goal that provides more opportunities for kids to benefit from and enjoy the many lessons of sports can teach us,” said Doug Chickering, Chair of the Madison Area Sports Commission board.
“The legacy of the MASC youth grant program continues to have an impact on Dane County,” said Jamie Patrick MASC’s Vice-President. We look forward to extending that reach deeper into the community with this latest round of youth grants. We invite all the area clubs and program to apply.”
