Give us a call at (608) 222-8565 for more information.

Looking for a way to connect with your target audience at an affordable price? The Guide to the Monona Area has been flies off the shelves each year and has become an esteemed community resource. 15,000 copies are printed and distributed locally, regionally and statewide through the Department of Tourism. It’s also available online to help spread our reach, promote our members and promote our community. The online version features ads linked to advertisers websites to maximize their exposure.

Sales for the Guide begin November 1. If you know you would like to advertise or you would like more information, send us an email and we’ll be sure to get in touch with you so your business can take advantage of the best options possible. Advertising space is limited and is sold on a first come, first served basis. If you’re not yet a member of MESBA, the deadline to join to be included in the Guide is February 15. Non-members can advertise for a 20% up-charge on ad rates.

MESBA members should be sure to review their listing in the Online Business Directory since this is the information that will go to print.

Have a meeting or event space you’d like to promote for free? Send us your details ASAP. View the Meeting & Event Venues page for guidelines.

Each year, the Monona East Side Business Alliance holds a cover photo contest for the cover of the guide. Last year’s edition was a stunning photo of the Sunset Music Series at The East Side Club in Monona provided by Blue Umbrella Arts. If you’re interested in submitting a photo, here is the criteria we look for (all of the following).
1) Photo of Lake Monona or Yahara River (showing off our waterfront community)
2) Features outdoor recreation—boating, kayaking, sailing, beach play, snowshoeing, skiing, etc.
3) Photo must contain people
4) Photo must be available in high-resolution (typically photos taken on your mobile phone are not high resolution or would need an add-on lens to be of high quality. Best results are achieved by using a Digital SLR, not a phone.)

If you’d like to submit a photo, email your image to the MESBA office by February 20. Photo credit will be given on the table of contents.
