Imagine this: you work in a retail setting (coffee shop, store, or restaurant) and you have a customer who comes in regularly—he’s a good customer. But, at times, he tends to cross the line and hangs out too long, or makes inappropriate comments or jokes that offend you or your customers. How do you deal with this situation? Does your employer offer assistance in setting boundaries with customers at work?
This Power Lunch will focus on how to appropriately set boundaries at work. The focus will be for those who are ‘pinned’ behind a counter but this session will offer valuable insight for setting boundaries in your quest for the work-life balance. Loren Fisher, from Higher Ground Counseling, will lead this session and will provide a helpful list of resources for employers and employees.
