Sivananda yoga is an invigorating, yet meditative style of hatha yoga open to practitioners of all levels of ability, flexibility, and age.
The practice includes frequent relaxation, an emphasis on pranayama and full yogic breathing, warm up exercises, and a series of 12 main asanas to enhance spinal flexibility, retain the body’s vitality, and increase overall physical and mental well being, leading to a positive spiritual evolvement.
In this workshop, there will be a short talk before the physical practice introducing students to the main points of yoga in 5 basic principles. The physical practice will end with an extended relaxation allowing students to incorporate the benefits of the postures and explore the world of their inner silence.
